Deduplication

(Cataloging / AureXus) (FR : Dédoublonnage)
The act of merging bibliographic records that describe the same bibliographic resource. Deduplication is a major issue for database consistency. It is therefore good practice to report or merge duplicates encountered during cataloging. With Medusa, duplicates are more easily spotted by cataloguers who can report them and / or merge them later.
